My name is Nubia Muhammad EL.
I have been an Natural hair care stylist and holisitic healer for 13years. Over the years I have traveled to Africa and studied with many wonderful people here in the Mid west. I am very happy about the things I have learn to help the people of the creator .I am honor to know you all. The work that you see throughout this website is proof of my improvements and peoples test a ments. please if you are looking for a stylist that will take care of your inner and outer please contact me. DIVINE KONSCIOUSNESS (DVK) founded by an 22 year old virtuous woman named Carlissa Nelson a.k.a Princess Nubia Muhammad El, in the year 1998. DVK was inspired by wanting a change, through family and friends Nubia started using her hobbies and skills to map out her plan. She began providing pieces of clothing (designed and sewed and crocheted) to a show called Liquid Silver held at the Music Menu 734 Beaubien in the heart of downtown Detroit, a funky enlighten brother named Ziam throws these shows all the time. Divine Konsciousness having a positive response also teamed up with a creative and positive sister, Cryshonta Majang. With the help of others we continued to arrange and choreograph, design and display our fashion to the community. Our fashion show was held and was a great success, so this became a fun way of expressing our creativity without confusion. Divine Konsciousness may appear to be for the hip hop generation but it is versatile for all ages and backgrounds of life. DVK has also been part of the show named TRIBE 2000 held by Azzah of Natural Tribe at the SOUL FOOD CAFE in the center of Detroit. Chakra Therapy with Pure Melon was the first show that DVK hosted alone in the summer of 2002 April 22nd at the Reggae afterhour TENCHTOWN located on Woodard in Detroit. Divine Konsciousness has also appeared front cover page of the magazine Exhibit contemporary lifestyles of African Americans, author and publisher Erik L. Hayes. Exhibit magazine was the first of its kind that became a voice for the people and expressed their artistic abilities.
Divine Konsciousness went through exploring its horizons as a part of Dally In The Alley for years 2000 and 2001, a local flower child free event held every year in the middle of The Wayne State Campus and also in the 4th year celebration "Health & Fitness Program" sponsored by AB/MB Productions a day for "Hustle Dance "Program at the Y.M.C.A 25940 Grand River Ave.
