About Me
If you have had any doubt that love and music walk hand and hand then you have yet to see and hear the Inner Visions Band. Their music has garnered them fans the world over and has helped to close the gap between racial, religious and economic divisions by leaning on the one thing we all possess and should exercise. That one thing is love!
Hailing from St. John, US Virgin Islands, this once hidden treasure, is a family in every sense of the word (two Brothers and two Sons). Yet everyone they encounter is easily welcomed into their family as well. At a time when “Roots Reggae Music” is struggling to keep it’s identity intact, it is quite refreshing to find this band performing, recording and producing as well as they do. Melodic song writing, impassioned lead vocals and sweet three part harmonies are reminiscent of the best vocal groups of the seventies and indeed, their style bridges the gap between foundation reggae and other genres such as R&B, and rock.
From Grassroots Festival in New York, Antiliansse festen in Belgium, SXSW in Texas, Sierra Nevada World Music Festival in California, Dios Latinos Festival in Holland to Muzikfest in Pennsylvania, Inner Visions has blazed the trail!
Now it’s your turn to be “Inner-Gized!” Catch the “Stay Alive” tour near you this Summer!

Core members:
Phillip “Grasshopper” Pickering (lead vocals, guitar, percussion)
Alvin “Jupiter” Pickering (backing vocals, bass, percussion and Grasshopper’s
brother)
Akiba “Mr. Snooze” Pickering (vocals, keyboards and one of Grasshopper's sons)
Aswad “Hollywood” Pickering (drums and another of Grasshopper's sons).

Music Industry Professionals and Critics alike have commented:
…..“Straight up reggae as it should be played!” …..”A small band with the sound of a symphony!” …..“Most felt lucky to have been in the room to witness masters at work!” .…“It doesn’t get any better than this!"….“what modern Roots music should sound like!”

Inner Visions Discography:
1995- Love One Another
2000- Spiritual Dancer
2003- Street Corner Musicians
2005 Frontline
2008 - Finally Captured Live
2010- Stay Alive

Blessings Grasshopper and Inner Vision crew. It is good to link with you again. I have a Reggae Band now called, Jah Breeze & Steel it is a four piece band with me on drums, one of my female students on saxophone, and lead steel pan, a solid guitar player and a Bass Player. We opened for Midnite the last time they were in Seattle...this was our debut since then we have been recording in the studio and playing live. We will be doing a Haiti Relief Benefit Concert for the City of Auburn, Washington and the Northwest Caribbean connection. I now have two sound engineer in my crew who are both musician as well, a Bass Player and a guitar player. We are planning on promoting our own shows as you know I am the premier reggae promoter in Seattle. At the least the only one from the Islands who promote his own music.

I would be interested in doing something with Inner Visions, my band will open and you will headline. I know I have to talk with George. But if there is any interest National or International we are open as that is our real aim and focus.

I will send you some of our original music, no copy...no one style. It is a brand new sound and genre', but roots reggae to the bone, with a splash of rock and roll to sooth the soul.

So good to share my new traditional adventure with you guys, it is just a matter of time before I unleash the drums.

Big Up,
Jah Breeze, Reggae Ambassadors Worldwide # 85.

P.S:I also manages and promote other local reggae bands in the Northwest, so we are looking towards a small reggae festival in the mountains.
