- About Me
- Francesco Caruso in culture Ras Nyah, began his reggae artist way in 2006-2007 when he was 17 years old, when ispired by the consciousness of roots music and helped by 4 years of experience with the productions of a few songs hip hop and dancehall music, he realized the first album "Jah Proje.CT" Nyahman & Dutty Natty, on riddims dub, roots, dancehall in italian, english, spanish and french, this one had a big suxcess in Sicily at Pon The River in Ragusa, at Centuripe Reggae Festival, at Volkano Village in Nicolosi, at Prospettiva 2 in Rosolini...In 2008 Ras Nyah produced a solouist album named "Caribbean Islands Trip" on riddims, in English, Spanish and Italian, and a new single "Road To Zion" in the famous riddim, playing that in Pisa June 2009 for the manifestation of the Rebeldia, watch the video on You tube(Ras Niya). In 2009 Ras Nyah realized a new Single "No Babylon Downpressor" and the video of 2 songs "No Babylon Downpressor" and "Irie" produced by Nunzio Rapisarda "Ciuridda" and Ivan Nicolosi "Shock Production",watch the video on You tube(Ras Niya). Ras Nyah played No Babylon Downpressor in opening of Jah Shaka in Vittoria,Sicily and togheter with Anthony Johnson in Catania,Sicily, at Belvedere 13 floor and at Reggaeswitshop in Baltimore, Maryland. During the 2010 Ras Nyah produced the new album "Jah Roads" writed on original production from all around the world and featuring with big artist like Jaka, Italian reggae Ambassador. The new year 2011 began with the production of the inedit songs for the french label Madrigal Musique, soon in streaming.
New Album:
“Jah Roads” è il nome del nuovo album di Ras Nyah uscito ufficialmente a Gennaio, scritto e composto grazie alla produzione di “The Manor” , “Foodj & Le Youth”, “Thematic”, “Kiddanno Production”, “Dove Dub”, “Congo Tree”, “Gnashism”, “Orange beat”, “The Dubalist”, “Princevibe, Fede K9, Tom Bangura Boomker Sound, Fire Band”. All’interno si possono ascoltare tematiche comuni al genere conscious, come nei brani “Conscious dub” , “Leave di sins” e “Jah Roads” e temi di carattere sociale come per i brani “Someone are calling”, “Luv di pickney”, “Policeman be hero”, “Fyah”. Uno dei migliori brani di questo album è senza dubbio “Enjoy Sicily” , nella speciale combinazione di Jaka e Ras Nyah, i due artisti raccontano della propria isola natia la Sicilia, valorizzandone le virtù, ripercorrendo la storia fino a narrare della vita sociale odierna.
Il linguaggio usato è inglese, con qualche vocabolo di patois il dialetto ufficiale del reggae, italiano e dialetto siciliano.
La seconda collaborazione “Down in the ghetto” brano scritto da Ras Nyah dopo la sua visita in america, è completata perfettamente con la melodica presentazione del ghetto di Wolverhampton da parte di Sammy Gold. Infine è l’amore il tema di “Inity” e di “Harmony” interpretata con la partecipazione della singer siciliana Dutty Gyal.
