- About Me
- “Yard Soul – Raw Soul” Ramize born Vernon Smith is a singer from the sunshine island of Jamaica where Reggae and Dancehall music pumps through the youths of this beautiful Island. Ramize started to explore his musical talents with his first singing group, “Heaven”, all members were his cousins taking their cue from legendary groups such as “Boys 2 Men”. He has not limited himself to just being a performer, he ventured in to song writing and producing. His recording career started out with Exclusively reggae tracks working local Jamaican producers yielding some success. Growing up in a tough neighborhood of Kingston called “Coburn Gardens”, Was a fertile ground for him to develop his musical talents as an artist. In 2008 Ramize began working with producers APS and Columbian Beatz, Began to steer Ramize’s musical Direction toward their interpretation of Rhythm and Blues called “Yard Soul “, inspired by a track called “Love Potion” produced by APS and Columbian Beatz. This concept inspired a project called Love Potion the classics. Ramize says his ideas come directly from classics Souls Artist like Anita Baker, Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder whose approach towards their Music, pouring all their emotions and energy into their music ultimately resulting In classic songs. Ramize Describes himself as a very out going person who is especially excited to perform in front of new audiences.
